Looking back now, with terminal cancer for the past two years, here is one thing I would like to have done better – I'd like to have enjoyed my walk with the Lord yet more.

Joy from Christ, Not Your Performance
A massive battle that many true Christians face is getting joy from their performance and not from Christ... this is something that only leads to misery and failure. By God's Grace alone may we all be truly, fully satisfied on what Christ has done, and stop focusing on ourselves.

He had a promise of a glorious reward to be conferred on Him, as a proper merit of His work done; there was a joy set before Him in the promise, for which He endured the cross, despising the shame.

Before the foundation of the world, God ordained to save a people out of the multitude of sinful humanity that they might be for the glory, honor, and praise of the Son. In accordance with the will of the Father, and in view of this joy set before Him -the joy of redeeming a people of His very own.
