As the disciples spoke, God came in power, and they were called by the crowds as those who “turned the world upside down”. Things that were one way were turned another way entirely. Men who were slaves of their sin were now set free. The early church we read about in the book of Acts was in the same place we are today. A place where we must pray for God to come down in order for things to be turned upside down.
Acts 17:6-7 And when they could not find them, they dragged Jason and some of the brothers before the city authorities, shouting, “These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also, 7- and Jason has received them, and they are all acting against the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, Jesus.”
