God’s Kindness to Crippled Men

Think of it, crippled Mephibosheth, he is probably being brought before David on a cart or carried in by others to the king’s chamber. Not a very grand entry is it? Some feel like their sin is too shameful to come before Christ, and we need to say to them, “Christ will receive you! I know Presidents and CEO’s who won’t, but Christ will and He is infinitely greater than them!” In King David’s response to crippled Mephibosheth, we see a picture of God’s kindness and gentleness. In the same way, Jesus Christ calls crippled sinners to come and eat at His table all the days of their life.
