The faith of Scripture is not doing something based upon mathematical probability, which says that it will works out most of the time. Rather God calls us to a faith like Abraham’s, of trusting in that which was impossible and had no probability of happening. It is hoping in God for that which seems hopeless.
As pastors lead their church, they must remember Jesus’ words in Matthew 13:58, “And he did not do many mighty works there, because of their unbelief.” We need churches that go forward in faith, trusting God for that which is impossible.
