What Is The Object of Your Faith?

Nothing can be the object of saving faith except what God has revealed in His Word. So what has the Lord revealed in His Word? He has revealed to us what His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, has accomplished on the Cross. In this message, Tim gives a survey of the Gospel of Matthew on how to be saved. This is not about doing as well as you can and being as good as you can, and trying to imagine your sins forgiven and trying to imagine you are not going to hell and that you are on the way to heaven–that is not what faith is about. Rather: I have to have Christ. Saving faith is about having a person, about having Christ.
