What do you want more than anything else: Money? Fame? A godly spouse? Or to just walk and commune with the Lord at your side?
In the Sunday school Scott talked about if we could have one desire. Of course he was moving in the direction of the rich man wanting just a drop of water. Here’s a man with a desire, and if he could only have a drop of water.
But Scott said two things. Before he got there he said, “If you had one desire what would you ask for?” And he talked about billions of dollars. Second, he talked about a godly husband or wife. And I was thinking, “What do I want more than anything else?”
What do you want more than anything else? I mean in all honesty and sincerity. Not that you have to answer. In your own mind before God.
I’ll tell you the one thing that came to my mind that I want more than anything else. You know, what I have an image of in my mind is: Adam walking with the Lord in the cool of the day, in the Garden of Eden. That’s what I want. Don’t you want that? Just to walk alone with the Lord at your side. Just to walk and commune. That’s what came to my mind that I want more than anything else. I guess you can all answer for what that is for you. But I want that. I desire that.
Well, brethren, let’s glorify the Lord in song.
