Fulfill the Law of Christ

It’s amazing how often the authors of the New Testament do not quote the ten commandments, but rather they tell us to imitate the example of Christ and so fulfill the law of Christ (Gal. 6:2). Husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church (Eph. 5:25). We are called to forgive others as Christ has forgiven us (Col. 3:13). We are called to welcome one another as Christ has welcomed us (Romans 15:7).  What a high standard that we can only live out in the power of the Holy Spirit.
